Amanda O'Connell

Dance/Piano​

Amanda has been dancing for over 37 years, teaching in South Africa, Ireland and abroad. 

She specializes in competitive Solo Latin, Solo Energy and Solo Classic, as well as International and Social Syllabus Latin and Ballroom (Couples Dancing).

She was the SA Champion in the Professional Solo Latin section in 2004 and 2005.

Growing up, Amanda studied Music, Singing, Modern, Tap and Spanish Dancing, and took part in numerous shows and musicals. She has a passion for the stage and loves performing as well as doing the Choreography/Stage Direction for shows and functions.  She holds a Director's Ticket and has choreographed many Dance shows.

Amanda is trained in Piano and Singing through Trinity College, and holds a Singing Performer's Certificate. 

She is also a qualified Dance Adjudicator and Examiner in the Solo system of Dance.

Amanda enjoys teaching people of all ages and loves to share her passion for Music and Dance with everyone.

Ben O'Connell

Dance

Ben has been teaching social dancing since 1999. Helping people feel more comfortable and confident on the dance floor is the goal! Looking great for your wedding, standing out at a special occasion or just dancing for the joy of it.

With years of experience, he'll soon have you rockin' and rollin'!

Lyn Peacefull

From the age of 9 years old, Lyn knew she wanted to be a Pianist. Her childhood was full of Piano, Music and Dance Lessons, and she studied short courses in Singing, Violin, Flute and Guitar, while also finding the time to conduct the School Choir and Orchestra. She graduated from the Rhodesian College of Music with her Licentiate Pianoforte Performance (L.R.S.M.)

She has composed a 4-Act Ballet for a Cape Town Dance Company, a short Ballet for a Children's End-of-year Concert, written the music for Cinema Advertisements, wrote the musical arrangements and recorded several parts for the Extravaganza Shows at Sun City, as well as doing countless arrangements for bands (including parts for drums/bass/guitar/keyboards).

Lyn has worked all over the world, including South Africa, Swaziland, United Kingdom, Spain, Egypt, Doha, and for the period 2002 - 2012, she and husband Brian worked as Professional Entertainers on Cruise ships, including world cruises with Regent, Holland America, and other shorter cruises with MSC.

Back in South Africa,she started teaching piano and singing, and got very involved with the local Theatre, as vocal coach for the ensemble and lead singers, and helping with musical arrangements.

Currently teaching in Co. Galway, she has several private piano students, and has recently taken over as Conductor of the Galway Gospel Choir.
